This unit was developed as a multi-purpose machine, weapons transporter, ammo supply and recovery vehicle.
Since i'm so far along on it I won't do a blow by blow here but just show you the high points.

I noticed that the road wheels were going to be a time consuming task to clean up so I started the build on the top side.
Image
Those casement walls are really thin for scale effect so expect them to be warped out of shape but you can work them into shape with a gentle hand.

While the glue cured I moved around to the rear being curious as to how it was going to look. It's nothing like any Pz IV you've done before i'll tell you now.

Since the gun can be lifted out of the casement and placed into action on the ground the wheels and trailing arms were stored on the rear.
BTW the gun can be assembled as a ground unit separate from the transporter if you like giving you two kits in one box.

Back to the gun again:

Love the details with lots of parts

On to the lower hull:
The legs of the hoist and spare road wheels are stored on the lower hull inside the track run.
Image

On the left side DML over looked an obvious details and didn't supply one of the hoist legs so get out the Evergreen supplies and scratch build one.

There are two more missing legs to complete the hoist but I haven't figured out where they are yet.

Well that's the latest on this one, will keep you posted.

Looking good Tony, nice clean build. thumb6

I didn't realise that they carried the wheels and trailing arms on the back.

Great start Tony!
I wonder how this gun compares to the AFV Club offering?

Dan i'm not sure, from just looking at the net pictures it might be the DML is more detailed.

So glad you are keeping us informed on this Tony. Is there anything I need to watch out for with his kit?
