Hello James. I like.
How is it that you have not used model color of very diluted vallejo?
I was thinking to do mine with a brown scheme on gray.
But seen the seen.... you make me doubt if that one or the same one that you have put.

You have left already less to finish this one and to start with another project.

Very nice James, that came out great. I may try that technique with my number one as that is the scheme I want to use on it. Now on to the weathering.

yes, James you are right about the grey/btown scheme. 2/3rds grey 1/3rd brown, large patches, soft edge.

so here I am trying on the shoes for this beast from Spade Ace, and it looks like they fit great.
The paint in spotty in places but this was touched up for the most part subsequent to these images. BTW I also noticed the wheel that has gone rouge, and these will all be securely glued at some point down the line once weathering is finished.

So next, even though there are no decals for this version of this kit, I still gave it a protective coat of slightly thinned Future, which was sprayed carefully on with my airbrush.
This was to guard against the forth coming oil washes and aging effects to come.




Next a generous wash with artist quality oils and paint thinner to get into all the recesses and around edges and rivets. It will also serve to tone the colours a tad. Much of it will be wiped off once it dries overnight with a clean cloth that has a minuscule amount of thinner dabbed on it. only the open areas and high points will have the wash removed - leaving it in the desired places.
