... but have no fear- this place will get busy. I wish I could post pics of the 1:1 tank model me and the boys are assembling- I'll maybe sneak one in on the weekend?
As for this work here- It really is starting to come together. I wish you well on it's completion. BTW are you retired?

Yes sir I am retired,two heart attacks put me on the shelf and I was forced to take an early retirement at 59 and in 6 mo. i'll be 67. That's why I started to build models a couple of years ago,needed something to fill the extra time on my hands.

Without activity a site will die a premature dead. I made a commitment here with three models i'm building and as slow as I am I would think there will be some others to take up the slack by the time I finish the last one.

Today went pretty good on the aft end and I did some pin wash as well.



It's going to rain for the next two days and lots of it so i'm going to work on getting the tracks done.

I understand what you're saying Jamie but who has time to sweat the small stuff?

I bought a bottle of Tank Rats "Black4Tracks" and tried it this morning on the tracks for the Hummel. Boy did that stuff work good or what. All those silver spots I was getting with "Blacken It" are gone with this soup and that's worth a lot to me.
I can finish a set in a day now instead of three or four using the other stuff. Here's a picture I took after they were dry and ready for my oil washes and pigments.

Dario, did applying a coat of Burnt Sienna oil wash for a rust effect and a couple of weaker mix Raw Umber oil wash coats to take the edge off the Sienna take them to a higher level of realism or did I ruin them?
