Tamiya Stug III Ausf.B Sd.Kfz. 142 with Dragon Figures, Aber Etch & Eureka XXL Ammo.

Picked up this kit while on vacation in the USA, this summer. Reduced in HobbyLobby.


Got these figures for just over 1/2 price including P&P on ebay.


I was going to build this kit OOTB when this Aber set came up on ebay. Got it for less than 1/2 price including P&P.


I believe that these are the only ammo boxes in 1/35 for this gun. Surprising as the ammo was used in lots of vehicles. AFV Club do an ammo set but don't include boxes.


You can probably tell that I like to get things as cheap as possible. Why pay more for exactly the same product!

Figure is OK but I was expecting better in a newer Tamiya kit. I will use it for painting practice.




Also included (not shown) is a nice aluminium barrel.

It will be fun to see what you will do with this kit. There is a slightly older issue of Tamiya Model magazine that builds this kit up-in there are many pics of the additions made to the kit.

I didn't realise when I bought it that each guide horn has to be attached seperately.

Welcome to Modelkasten world !


I built my first set of modelkasten tracks some time ago and thought at first it'd be a real pain in the neck but eventually it is not more of a chore than using friul tracks.
You build them while listening to music and it helps passing the time ... LOL.
Now on the other hand I find them very fragile so be very carefule when putting the completed track on the Stug.

They don't seem to have too many extras in the boxes either so be very careful cause you may need every one to get the correct length!
