I wasn't happy with the colour of the figure as it was too grey. I painted a small amount of each black shade on to a piece of paper and then compared them to black Vallejo paint.
The Andrea 3rd shadow colour is actual a very dark grey so black paint can be used for the deep shadows.
I airbrushed a thin layer of the darkest shadow colour over the top of my brush painting, as it is only a very thin layer it hasn't affected the surface detail.
Side by side comparision of the base and 3rd shadow colour. The photos were taken using the same settings and light condtions and combined in my photo editing program.
Now to start again! It's all good pratice.
