General T-34 resource and research thread

So I figure that as I am totally enthralled with T-34s right now it might be a good idea to have all the T-34 general info in one place.
Like for example the different types of wheels, or turrets. Like how many different types of turrets was there for the fist crop, before the 85 T34s.
And then maybe we could talk about the 85 type after?
What type of guns etc.
I want to have a simple side by side comparison all in one glance, but any input is good.

Hi Jamie,

Good idea as I think having relevant info for T-34s is importan alsot...it's a pretty popular vehicle to model.

I could give some basic info regarding guns, etc if that's ok by you?

Early gun type---1940-1941

L-11 (this is the stubby one you see in pics or same as on T-32 prototype)

Late type---1941?-1943

F-34 (longer barrel with improved ballistic mantlet

I can add photos later if you like....

I will let others or yourself add more info here......

Good idea! Perhaps we can add our sources and when we figure there enough, Admin or Mods can joint them all in a unique post?
