Help with language

Guys, I'm helping a friend translating a book from spanish to english, but I got issues with some Tiger II component names.
Can you tell me the english name for the device pointed by the red arrow?

I think that is the rough and ready shoot from the hip commanders gun sight, not sure off the top of my head what the thing is called but maybe when I get home from my travels I'll look into it.

That could be the post site (for the commander to quickly line up the gun on a target). Looks kind of short though to be that.
