"Rail gun" on Stargate Universe

Postby Jamie Tainton » Sat Oct 03, 2009 1:01 pm

Well I thought since now that the premiere of the show has happened I'll post a few images from a job I had while working on Stargate Universe last year. They had an old prop from one of the other Stargate shows and they needed to give it a new paint scheme so I got the call. I think most people around there thought I was a little kooky with which how much relish I showed while working on it. To say the least most people that work for TV shows are a bit jaded. :D
While not my cup of tea the Stargate series of shows has a big following.
Anyways just a few shots to show the progress.
While not the most exciting job, better than sitting in an office somewhere in a cubicle shuffling paper, (hope I don't offend anyone with that statement, work is work and pays the bills, right)

Some screen grabs to show context, major visual effects tie it in.

Hey James,

Rail Guns Everywhere!!! I've helped build a couple of guns recently for General Atomic (the folks who make the real ones) so that they can use them for presentations - generally 1/24 scale.

Sorry, I can't do the picture thing.
