I think you would actually be suprised at how small the IS-2 and IS-3 tanks really are. Most people have an image of huge lumbering beast but they really were not. They had thick armor and a big gun but the crew had very little room inside to move around. A T-34 is nearly as big as the IS-2 but weighs about 15 tons less.

Yes everything was sacrificed power armor including crew comfort. There was war and the crew had to endure everything. Here are another photos of OT vz. 64 , vehicle
is in army version. With turret with KPVT machine gun.
Photos of the czechoslovak self-proppelled howitzer vz. 77 DANA , caliber of its gun is 152 mm.
