picture size and viewing

I have noticed as have others that sometimes wider pictures seem to get cut off in the browser window. This is only an illusion as the full image can be seen if the browser window is pulled wide. But I am looking at modifying this so the full image can be seen. One option I have found is a MOD that would resize the full sized image to a smaller version that when clicked on the full sized image will open in another window such as this example.

I personally don't want to expend any more energy than necessary and don't like this type of option as seen on other modelling websites. I usually don't go through all available when on a board of this type. But what do you think.
