The baby didn't talk, not until it found something to complain about, as until he was five, everything had been satisfactory. They all thought he maybe deaf or stupid or???
But all was normal. The lack of any communication prior to this is a bit of a reference I suppose to the German character of efficiency in all matters.

Yeah I understood all that , I just didn't see how it was funny. I understood it being a jab at that German particularity.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying it isn't funny, I'm saying it is probably a cultural thing that "I" don't quite understand so that is why "I " don't find it funny. What I did find funny in the video was how all the guest (if thats what they were) were stepping over each other trying to be the one to tell the joke.
