Life in the LRDG-Video

I posted this thread on another forum and it went un-noticed. A friend of mine who is also very interested in the LRDG sent me this link. When on patrol behind enemy lines the LRDG's greatest fear was ambush by aircraft. In the open desert there is no place to hide. This video clip is modern and is a ground ambush, but you can still get the idea what it might have been like.

Yes, it's hard to describe, i would say surreal. I've never experienced combat, only simulated, but to overcome the fear of being ambushed at any moment from any direction would be difficult.

My first thought was how striking this video is. My second thought was how horrable it would be to be pinned down like that with no cover, no escape and no idea as to where the attack is coming from.
