But really there are some concerns about all the solvents, spray painting and glues we use. I work in an industry where the volume is much greater than encountered in the hobby but some of the safety concerns are still valid. Check out these material info sheets I got about some of the things we use. The higher the number on the right, the higher the toxicity. I always use a good respirator with organic vapour filters when spraying and latex type gloves when handling solvents resins,etc.
