I'm sorry Tim, I missed your question, The front springs are a little touchy. Usually they'll sit a little narrow for the attachment points on the axle but with spreading them slightly the axle will fit into place.

No Pierre, I have five LRDG kits under construction right now and I wanted to use different tires on them.

I bought the kit that started this thread for just over $55.00 on evilbay. It's Wespe Models exact copy of the Tamiya kit. I don't know how I feel about the copying. A kit that is in as much demand as the Tamiya LRDG kit and the manufacturer being unwilling to see that.
