Well provisioned- a vignette

Thanks, gents! I'll be working on another project or two this weekend, but rest assured, I'm really enjoying this build. The kubel is just propped up on here wheels here- I'll paint it before gluing them on. I was gratified to see that the compressed suspension worked out ok!

And yes- Monroe Perdu stuff is really a treat. I have a few of Mike's other kits awaiting some future build in my stash.

Cheers!

What's the other stuff you are working on? Always interested in your methods.

Looking forward to seeing it completed. Nice work on the etch. thumb6

I've got (in my ever growing pile of kits!) Tamiya's Schwimmwagen, Kubelwagen & DAK Kubelwagen and Italeri's(CMK) Beetle, to build the WW2 VW family.

I've also got the Dragon/Bego DAK kit to build a Kubelwagen, shown in the Tankograd book on the VW, which has sand tyres on the rear wheels and regular tyres on the front!

Thanks, gents! Jamie, take a gander at my Ju388 build here:

Today I gave that well some serious abuse- Wendy's getting gun shy!

Very fun and creative update as usual, thanks Chuck. Sorry if it seems a bit slow here but things will pick up soon, last week painting sets for the Hellcats this week and then I'm going to take a break and do some modelling. Maybe I should introduce a character into my builds. painter
If I did I know it wouldn't come close to your virtuosity! :fritz:

One thing is ya gotta wonder if these 1/35th scale tools clasps are really a good representation as I've always thought that the space around the tools was not really much good for keeping things secure- I have bought some 1/48th scale ones to try out in 1/35th as it seems these may be more in scale?

Image of the one at Munster- (admittedly a museum specimen, so maybe different from wartime items? I'll have to check later.)
It seems there is a rubber pad on the Munster shovel clasp?

I guess I just have to bend 'em better, Jaime! It's kind of toylike for Aber to make everything movable. I guess it makes posing esy, but would you really want to demonstrate all these little features?

This little bugger has gotten to the point that it takes an alert mind and a gentle touch to work on it. So many delicate parts!

Jaime is also a good Spanish boy's name! Me? I'm just a bad typist- thanks for letting me off the hook easy, my friend. With a name like Wojtkiewicz, I try to be more careful...

I've tried something new- and gotten decent results so far. One thing I will emphathize is to use a "light hold" type hairspray- I use a "heavy holding" variety and had a time scrubbing it off. No worries, though- read on!

Well, some days you get the bear, some days the bear over-runs your base and drives off in your favorite tank. Wendy Wehrmacht knows the feeling- right, Wendy?
