Armour Workshop

Last year I built this halftrack.

It's a Kraus Maffei mittlere 8 ton, model of 1935, from Legion Condor, in Spain, circa 1938.
I started with the plan on german manual D607/3

First the chassis,







Next the cabin





The accessories. The tyres are poliester copies of a modified DML Flak 36 trailer. The tracks are from Friul.

Assembled, without gluing

















The final result, prior to painting.

The rack doors are assymetrical,and the tyres aren't flush with the wheel, as on the original vehicle.

Impressive work.

"Impressive" was the first word comes to my mind, but as Tim say it first....I will change it for "Awesome!!"

Now that's what I call model building. Most of us are model kit assemblers (although some of us take it up a level) but you my friend are a true modeler. Great job. No, fantastic job.
