Hey Jay did you have any problem getting the gun to fit in there like it should.?
I took a little bit off here and there and gained some but not enough. I just thought of one other thing to check but
I think i'll wait till morning and have a fresh look at it.

The ball sleeve that fits over the barrel was not seated all the way down because it is really a very tight fit.
I filed down some of the hit spots on the gun that goes inside the ball and relieved the edges inside the ball as well and now it bottoms out like it should and all is well. 8-)

If you build this kit or the new one with zimmerit it is something to be aware of.

Looks pretty good Tony. Don't stop now. I was wondering, how do you think those guys climbed in and out with that big space between the hatch and the floor?

Jamie I just sat the casement on this morning to see how they would have done just that.
To get in and out the rear door it looks like they would have done it the same way as the B-17 crews getting in and out the rear door on the right side of the tail section. Grab on to the top of the door opening and swing in feet first.

For the top hatches that large storage box at the rear on the floor would be the answer. It extends out far enough under the openings to act as a platform to stand on. Both the commander and the guy on the MG could utilize it.

The view through the rear and top hatches:

The best place to be is on the south end of a north bound Grizz.
