You know James, I always got mixed feeling when I see you paint one of your builds since it´s almost a shame to cover up all those beautiful details and hard work but once I see paint come into play it´s almost over .
Seriously, I´m really looking forward to see more paint on this one!
Definitely one of those SBS I never want to see coming to an end.

So the next thing I did was by using the plastic part layout the point were the uprights needed to be added onto the U shaped part.
Basically I acheived this by laying the part down on the piece of medite and taking measurements I was able to create a rectangle that mapped out the perimeter. With the plastic part laying on top of this I made some pencil marks onto the MDF where there were six depressions in the yellow Tristar part that were the attachment points for the plastic stays. At these points I again drilled holes only to the specific depth of the upright parts. Onto these the U shaped brass was layed and then with flux applied they were soldered in place. This was pretty excellent and in the end gave me the perfect spacing and 90 degree angles for the uprights that I wanted.

Thanks Guys!- sorry no updates- my time has been taken up by the 2 dimensional aspect of my creative output- hope to get something up here someday soon- in the mean time what are you guys working on- any reports?
